A white freshwater pearl ringed by eight small round black onyx cabochons, set like the petals of a flower, on a stud fitting. Each earring has a round white pearl at the centre, with a soft sheen. Eight small, round, smooth black onyx stones sit around it in a single ring, each held by slim claws, so the cluster reads as a flower with a pale heart.
The onyx is domed and polished rather than faceted, so it gives a deep, glossy black with no sparkle of its own. The contrast between the white pearl and the black petals is the whole design.
